Carlos Davito was a great dancer and undisputed master of
tango and in the history of this dance he came slowly but deeply, remaining an
idol for many years, until his death from cancer. If many know his famous show
with Marcela Duran in "Dedicado Evaristo Cariego", few know that
Carlos had not only Marcela as partners, but also Helene, with whom he married
and had a daughter, Evita. Why we emphasize this? To better understand,
students and teachers, how much is necessary, for the culture of tango, also to
know these small aspects of the great dancers. There are only Fred Astaire and
Ginger Rogers, who listen in their biography, but also other famous dancers.
And here Carlos Gavito, gives a wonderful picture of himself not only as a man
and dancer, but also as a husband and father, while not forgetting the presence
of another woman, the one with which to dance. The presence of women in the
Tango, which for those who dance professionally, can not just be random, but
also and especially sensation found on the skin; presence should be felt on yourself,

Carlos Davito fu un indiscusso grande ballerino e maestro del tango e nella storia di questa danza lui è entrato pian piano ma preponentemente, restando un idolo per parecchi anni, sino alla sua morte per tumore. Se molti conoscono la sua celebre esibizione con Marcela Duran in "Dedicado a Evaristo Cariego", pochi sanno che Carlos non ha avuto solo Marcela come partner ma anche Helene, con cui si sposò ed ebbe una figlia, Evita. Perchè enfatizziamo questo? Per far capire meglio, agli studenti e ai maestri, quanto sia necessario, per la cultura tanguera, conoscere anche questi piccoli aspetti dei grandi danzatori. Non esiste solo Fred Astair e Ginger Rogers a cui dare ascolto nella loro biografia, ma anche altri celebri danzatori. E qui Carlos Gavito, dà una splendida immagine di se stesso non solo come uomo e danzatore, ma anche di marito e padre, pur non dimenticando la presenza di un'altra donna, quella con cui danzare. Quella presenza della donna nel Tango, che per chi danza professionalmente, non può essere solo casuale, ma anche e soprattutto di pelle; una presenza che va sentita addosso, dentro di sè stessi al solo starle accanto. La donna, nel tango Davito è elemento non solo importante ma predominante, alla stessa portata del maschio leader, dove la essenza della femminilità si fonde con la passione di entrambi i danzatori nell'amarsi, nel congiungersi in quell'amplesso fatto di ganci, ochos e voleo.
